Jellyfish Lake ~ Sting [3:00] |

Quite.
Well, then. I suppose if I'm going to type up something that will likely not be seen off of this webpage (unless Xellandria lets me post it later in the journal I have been forced to practically abandon), I might as well make mention of the progress on the building of that which we are currently expected to move into within another six months.
It took quite a while for everyone to agree on how much space we needed in the communal areas—living room, bathrooms, and so on so forth—and so the actual contractor wasn't called in until the end of April. Hydaen worked with said contractor and my good self until we were satisfied the blueprints had all the necessary rooms and the layout that would best benefit the group as a whole, including a few empty rooms in case we had guests, or if Xellandria felt the need to call others into activity for any length of time (Hydaen says that Xellandria's been planning to bring at least one of the Hellfyres into activity. I can only hope it won't be Kanos or that peverse second-in-command of his, although knowing my luck, it will most certainly be both).
Actual building required demolishing anything remaining of the previous building, and I believe James took quite a bit of pleasure at using the sledgehammer to knock some of the inner wall frames out, although it would have all come down with the bulldozer and he need not have bothered.
Construction involving the foundation began at around the end of May, although there was some confusion and fear among the workers our builder had hired when a few of them started not coming back to work and couldn't be located. I told the lower lifeforms not to eat our workforce, but apparently the incubus was in a "Village People mood, dude" and thus couldn't help himself (as for the bush... he never responds well to requests, it seems). Luckily, the foundation crew and the wood crew were two seperate, unassociated groups and thus the rumours from the first batch did not filter into the second.
I must say, however, that the past two weeks in which Alexus has been gone have quite possibly been the most productive. The framing was completed soon after he left, and perhaps a third of the exterior and an eighth of the interior has been finished. I must attribute this sudden rise in productivity to the fact that he isn't poking his nose in everyone's business and asking what everyone is doing fifteen-hundred times a day, as he has left the premises. I believe he is also worried that his new room will be smaller than the old—which is possible, to be sure, but only if we stick him in the linens closet (not a bad idea, come of it).
It will be quite a shame when he returns (which he has since I wrote this line) and begins to hold up our workers once again. Perhaps he will have come back from his adventures in Llayad with a newfound work ethic which will enable him to help in the construction, rather than hinder?
Possibly. Not likely, but one must not discount all possibilities, however slim.
Edit Well, sure enough, I am being allowed to post this in my journal for all interested parties. Thrilling.
The incubus has not yet been able to torment our workers, as not only were they off for Church services when he returned yesterday, but he is in the process of feeling wronged at the hands of Hydaen, who has taken his zebra and locked it (and herself) in her room after finding that Alexus was not taking proper care of it. He is currently in the process of sitting outside her door and alternately glaring and pouting at it. One must wonder how long it will be before he forgets about the zebra in favour of his insatiable stomach.
